From the beginning, I fell in love with Bulgaria. Its beauty, warmness, and the feeling of freedom, is something rare, and I felt much myself here.
What I imagined about the country was having a rich cultural life, friendly people, green and natural places, and I hoped to have the chance to use my bike effectively. In Bulgaria, I found more than I wished for. Even going out for a walk I find is a delight here.
Living alongside the Youth Hill helped with that, without doubt. The people of Bulgaria have much in common. Their approach to work – life balance, their choices of activity after work and their passion about all types of arts inspired me much. In Bulgaria there is peace of mind. I believe this is the thing that makes it special. That was one of the main motivations to apply for this project in Bulgaria and I was not mistaken.
Learning my first Slavic language was also nice, because it opened the doors of a new world for me. Now I feel more enthusiastic about exploring. Learning Cyrillic Alphabet was very important for me, and I am glad I invested myself from the beginning, as it gave me the chance to communicate with people in Bulgarian.
